Pros: It's decent if your project isn't crunching. You can usually stick to 40-hour weeks here. For a Software Engineer, the hybrid work setup in Espoo is pretty flexible.
Cons: When 5G development deadlines hit, it's super tough. Some managers push for long hours, affecting your personal time. The work-life balance isn't consistent across all telecom teams.
Advice to Management: Encourage managers to consistently respect personal time and enforce reasonable project timelines across all telecom development teams.

Pros: I've had some really good stretches here. For Software Engineer roles in the Espoo office, you get decent hybrid work options, which helps a lot. It's not always a 9-to-5, but often you can make it work.
Cons: The work-life balance can really swing. Some projects, especially in the telecommunications industry, get super intense. You'll definitely have periods of long hours, and it's not always predictable.
Advice to Management: Management needs to standardize workload expectations across different departments. It shouldn't be so dependent on individual managers to protect their team's hours.

Pros: The benefits package is pretty solid, especially the healthcare and 401k match. As a Software Engineer, you get decent PTO. Job security here is good, which is a big plus.
Cons: The base salary isn't competitive with other big tech companies in the area. Annual raises are small, and bonus targets feel out of reach sometimes. For the Dallas office, the compensation just doesn't quite stack up.
Advice to Management: Review compensation packages for engineering roles to be more competitive. It's hard to attract and keep top talent for network infrastructure roles when pay isn't a priority.
