Decent Benefits, Pay Could Be Better
Pros: As a Marketing Specialist, the health benefits package is pretty good. They offer a solid 401k match, which isn't always a given in the medical device industry. It’s a stable company.
Cons: Base salary for a Marketing Specialist isn't super competitive for Rochester, NY. Raises usually don't keep up with inflation, which is tough. Don't expect big bonuses either.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate market rates for different roles, especially in the Rochester, NY office. Consider larger annual raises and more competitive base salaries to retain talent. The benefits are a strong point, but better compensation would make a big difference.

Leadership needs more clarity for marketers
Pros: The teams are generally really collaborative. I learned a lot working with other marketers on product launches. There's good job security here in the medical device sector.
Cons: Leadership often seemed disconnected from daily operations. It was tough to get clear direction for our campaigns. Decision-making for the Rochester, NY office felt slow and top-down. This impacted hybrid work schedules too.
Advice to Management: Please try to be more transparent with your marketing teams. Clear communication from leadership would really help people feel more engaged and less confused about strategy.

Solid Benefits, But Pay Could Be Better
Pros: The health insurance is really good, and the 401k match is solid. As a Manufacturing Technician, you get decent vision benefits, which makes sense for the contact lens manufacturing sector. It's a stable environment here in Rochester, NY.
Cons: Base pay isn't super high for a Manufacturing Technician role. Raises are often pretty small, so your salary doesn't jump much. It's hard to get a big pay bump unless you change departments.
Advice to Management: They should really look at increasing base salaries for manufacturing roles. Also, create clearer paths for career growth to keep good people from leaving. It'd boost morale a lot.
