Pros: I've worked here for a few years as a Process Engineer. The hybrid work model is a nice idea. Being able to work from home a couple days helps with personal stuff. It's a decent perk for a corporate setting.
Cons: The problem is, it's not always consistent. For specialty chemicals manufacturing, there are often onsite requirements for lab or plant work. So, true flexibility can be tough in the Charlotte office for some roles. You end up being onsite more than planned.
Advice to Management: I'd say really look at how the hybrid work model is applied across different departments. It works better for some office roles than for those in specialty chemicals manufacturing who need to be onsite often. Make the guidelines clearer and more equitable.

Pros: The job security is solid here, which is a big plus. As a Process Engineer, you do get hands-on experience in polymer manufacturing, which is valuable for the specialty chemicals industry. Benefits are pretty standard and decent.
Cons: Honestly, career growth is pretty stagnant, especially for technical roles like mine. There isn't a clear path up unless you want to jump into management, which isn't always available or desired. I've felt a bit stuck in the Marlborough, MA office, waiting for new opportunities.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer technical career ladders for engineers. Don't make management the only path up; reward expertise and offer more growth opportunities for individual contributors.

Pros: The team I worked with in the Charlotte, NC office was genuinely supportive. There's good job security for a large corporate company in the specialty chemicals sector. You can learn a lot about polymer solutions if you're new to the industry.
Cons: Career progression for a Technical Sales Representative is really slow. It felt like there weren't many clear paths to move up or develop into higher-level roles. Opportunities for new projects or cross-functional experience are limited, making it hard to gain new skills.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create more defined career paths for employees, especially for roles like Technical Sales Representative. Investing in training programs and internal mobility would help retain talent.
