Pros: As a Junior Paralegal, I got exposure to some solid corporate law cases, which was great for learning the ropes. You pick up a lot just by being around experienced attorneys in the Los Angeles office. It's good foundational experience for the legal industry.
Cons: Career growth here is pretty limited, especially past the entry level. There isn't much of a clear path for advancement or formal training programs. You really have to seek out opportunities yourself, and even then, promotions are slow.
Advice to Management: Create more structured career paths and formal mentorship programs for staff. It would help a lot with retention and show employees there's a future here.
