Hybrid Model Isn't Very Flexible Here
Pros: For a large corporate like Singtel, job stability is pretty solid. My team in the Singapore office was generally supportive, which made daily operations smoother. There's also decent exposure to new telecommunications tech.
Cons: Work-life balance really suffers if you're looking for true work-from-home options. The hybrid model for Software Engineer roles often means being onsite more than offsite. It's tough to get real flexibility, especially with demanding project timelines in this telco giant.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into a more genuinely flexible hybrid work arrangement. Empowering teams to decide their onsite days could boost morale a lot for tech roles, especially as we're seeing more digital transformation across the industry.

Hybrid Work Has Its Ups and Downs
Pros: The hybrid work model is a decent perk. For an Associate Product Manager, it's good to have some flexibility with WFH. It's a solid arrangement for the telecommunications industry.
Cons: However, the actual work flexibility varies a lot by team. Some teams are more strict with onsite days. It feels like real flexible working hours aren't really a thing.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid policy across all departments so everyone gets a fair and consistent experience with work flexibility.
