Xiao En Group is a multicultural investment group built on the philosophy of filial piety. The founder of Xiao En Group was the late Datuk Choo Ching Hwa (1931-1996) who built his empire from scratch. Today the Group has more than 20 subsidiary companies with a wide array of industries including memorial parks management, bereavement care services, education, property development, food and beverage, tourism, tourist development, finance and accounting services. "Xiao" (Filial Piety), in the narrow sense, indicates the primordial and fundamental interpersonal relationship. In a broader sense, it indicates the extension of family relationship to the world at large; to respect the elderly as we would our parents, and to care for the young as we would our children. "En" (Gratitude) is built on the foundation of helping others and the effort to repay the good deeds of the people and the society.
