La Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales en Ferias, Exposiciones y Convenciones, AMPROFEC, reúne a más de 120 actores de la industria de reuniones en México agrupados en cuatro secciones; organizadores de eventos, diseñadores y constructores de stands, recintos y prestadores de servicios. La finalidad de nuestra asociación es impulsar el desarrollo profesional del Turismo de Reuniones en nuestro país.
Actualmente AMPROFEC es el órgano representativo del ramo, como asociación tiene relaciones y convenios de participación con agrupaciones de nivel internacional como TSEA (Trade Show Exhibitor Association), AFE (Asociación de Ferias Españolas, UFI de Europa, AFIDA (Asociación Latinoamericana de Ferias y Exposiciones), MPI (Meeting Professionals International), ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association), SITE (Society International Travel Incentives), COCAL (Confederación de Entidades Organizadoras de Congresos y Afines de América Latina), asociaciones nacionales como AMMD (Asociación Mexicana de Mercadotecnia Directa), ANGECAI (Asociación Nacional de Directores, Gerentes y Ejecutivo de Cámaras, Asociaciones y Organismos Empresariales entre otras.
Así también se ha convertido en órgano de consulta para los asuntos que atañen o afectan el desarrollo de las diferentes especialidades en el ramo, ante la SHCP, SECOFI, SECTUR, BANCOMEXT, PROFECO y CPTM.
