Decent for Some, Tough for Others at Blip
Pros: There's a solid PTO policy, which helps. It's nice to actually take your vacation days without too much fuss. The hybrid model offers some flexibility, so you're not always tied to the Seattle office.
Cons: On-call rotations can be brutal for software development teams, and they really impact your personal time. Deadlines are often tight, leading to consistent 50+ hour weeks for many.
Advice to Management: Please re-evaluate on-call schedules and workload distribution for engineering roles. Burnout is a real concern for the teams.

Leadership is okay, but could be better
Pros: I've really enjoyed the remote work flexibility as a Software Engineer. The base pay and benefits are quite competitive for big tech, which is a huge plus.
Cons: Upper leadership sometimes feels out of touch with what's happening on the ground for engineering teams. Decision-making can be slow, which impacts overall progress for some key projects.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving communication from the top down. Listen more to the Software Engineer roles and give middle managers more authority to speed up critical project decisions.
