Pros: Work flexibility is pretty solid for most Software Engineering roles. I can mostly set my own hours, especially working remote from Dallas, TX. As long as tasks get done, they don't micromanage your WFH schedule.
Cons: Project deadlines can be really tight in SaaS, forcing long hours sometimes. It's tough to take spontaneous time off during critical sprints. Management expects you online during core hours even with flexibility.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out project timelines. Better planning would really help with employee burnout. Reinforce the actual 'flexible' part, don't just say it.
