Pros: The biggest pro is the incredible mission and the impact you get to make daily in the tech education space. Colleagues are super supportive and always willing to help, fostering a great learning environment. There are ample opportunities for career development and skill building, especially if you're proactive, making it a strong place for professional growth within a social enterprise.
Cons: Because it's a fast-growing social enterprise, things can sometimes feel a bit stretched during peak program times. The promotion process can occasionally feel a little slower than a larger corporation, but the development opportunities are still there. Communication across departments could also be a bit more streamlined at times.
Advice to Management: Keep investing in internal processes and tools to support the rapid growth, and explore more structured career pathing for employees passionate about long-term roles here. Also, maybe more regular cross-department syncs would help with communication.

Cons: Sometimes the workload can be quite intense, especially during program launches, which is common for a growing social enterprise. Better internal communication flow on cross-departmental projects could improve efficiency.
Advice to Management: Keep fostering the incredible sense of community and mission-driven approach. Consider investing further in formal career development pathways for roles like Programme Coordinator, ensuring continued growth and retention in tech education.

Pros: The core mission of empowering women in tech is genuinely inspiring and drives a lot of passion within the team. I've had great opportunities to learn and grow, especially in managing educational programs and community engagement. The people you work with are often dedicated and collaborative, making it a positive environment for creating impact in the tech industry.
Cons: There's a noticeable strain on resources, meaning teams often feel understaffed and workload can be high, impacting work-life balance at peak times. Communication across different program streams could sometimes be clearer to ensure everyone is aligned on objectives. This often leads to feeling a bit of firefighting rather than strategic planning.
Advice to Management: Consider investing more in staffing for core operational roles to alleviate pressure on existing teams. Prioritize clear, consistent communication channels to improve project alignment and efficiency across the board.
