Solid Security Sales Opportunity with i-PRO
Pros: I really appreciate the product quality at i-PRO. As a Business Development Manager, it's a huge advantage to represent reliable security cameras and VMS solutions that customers trust. The team in the Central region is collaborative, and I've received good support from colleagues and some direct managers. The work flexibility is decent, allowing me to manage my own schedule to pursue sales leads in the St Louis market and beyond. There's a genuine push for innovation in the security
Cons: Sometimes, the approval processes for deals can feel a bit slow, which can impact sales cycle times. While job security is generally stable, the performance expectations for Business Development Managers are consistently high, which creates some pressure. It's a competitive security industry, and while the goals are clear, sometimes the resources to hit those ambitious targets could be more readily available. Communication about company-wide strategic shifts could also be improved.
Advice to Management: Streamline some of the internal approval processes to empower the sales team to close deals more efficiently. Also, enhance communication regarding future product roadmaps and strategic shifts to ensure everyone, especially those in business development, is fully aligned.

Good tech role with room to improve communication
Pros: The core technology and product development at i-PRO are impressive, especially in the competitive security technology space. My colleagues were generally supportive and knowledgeable. The Kansas City office provides a decent hybrid work environment, allowing for a good balance between remote and in-office collaboration. Training opportunities were available and useful for staying current.
Cons: Communication between departments, especially between R&D and operations, could sometimes be a challenge, leading to minor delays. Decision-making processes could occasionally feel slow, impacting project timelines. While pay is competitive for the industry, benefits could be a bit more robust to match top-tier tech companies.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing clearer cross-departmental communication channels and perhaps a more agile approach to project management to speed up decision cycles.

Cons: Sometimes, being part of a global security solutions company, the approval processes can feel a bit slow, impacting the speed at which we can respond to certain market opportunities. While leadership is strong, communication on company-wide changes could sometimes be more proactive to keep everyone aligned. The workload can also be quite intense during peak periods, which occasionally impacts work-life balance for a Business Development Manager.
