Pros: I really enjoyed the strong sense of teamwork among the PCO Telesales Consultants. Everyone was willing to help out, and the immediate team leaders were generally supportive, offering good training for sales techniques. The Manchester office had a vibrant atmosphere typical of a busy BPO, and I learned a lot about objection handling and closing deals in the customer service industry. There were also opportunities to pick up extra shifts, offering a bit of work flexibility when needed.
Cons: The main challenge was the high volume of calls and strict sales targets, which could be intense, especially during peak seasons in the call center. Career progression into more senior telesales roles felt a bit slow sometimes, requiring a lot of persistence. While management was supportive at the team level, communication from higher-level leadership regarding company-wide changes could be improved for us on the front lines.
Advice to Management: Continue to foster the strong team environment that makes Konecta a good place to work for PCO Telesales Consultants. Consider more transparent pathways for career growth and perhaps more regular check-ins from senior leadership to bridge any communication gaps. Acknowledge and reward high
