About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust SQL Server databases that support our business applications and data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with application developers, data analysts, and project managers to ensure database performance, security, and scalability align with organizational needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to optimizing database systems. This position offers the flexibility of remote work from India, with shift timings from 1 PM to 10 PM, enabling a healthy work-life balance while contributing to impactful projects.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server development and database management. A deep understanding of database design principles, normalization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning is essential. Candidates should have proven expertise in writing and optimizing stored procedures, triggers, and functions, along with familiarity with RESTful API development and LINQ. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are also crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, including creating tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support business applications.
- Optimize complex SQL queries to enhance database performance, reliability, and scalability, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient data retrieval.
- Collaborate with application developers to integrate database logic into business applications, providing technical expertise and support throughout the development lifecycle.
- Implement data security measures, manage user permissions, and ensure compliance with data governance and privacy standards.
- Monitor database health, perform routine maintenance, backups, and recovery procedures to prevent data loss and ensure high availability.
- Identify and resolve database-related issues promptly, providing technical guidance and solutions to team members and stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and the development of best practices for database development and management.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in SQL Server technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.
