About The Role
We are seeking experienced software engineers at a tech lead level to join our dynamic team working on a groundbreaking project focused on Large Language Model (LLM) evaluation and training datasets. The primary goal of this role is to develop and enhance datasets that facilitate the training of LLMs to solve realistic software engineering problems. This involves working closely with open-source repositories, automating development environments, and contributing to the evaluation of code quality and test coverage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, particularly with public GitHub repositories, and will play a key role in shaping the future of AI-driven software development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with hands-on experience in developing and maintaining complex codebases.
- Strong knowledge of Git version control system and containerization tools like Docker.
- Experience setting up, configuring, and automating development environments.
- Ability to analyze, understand, and navigate large-scale open-source projects.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects or evaluating codebases is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and triage issues reported in trending open-source repositories on GitHub, identifying areas for improvement and testing.
- Set up and configure development environments, including containerization and dependency management, to ensure reproducibility and efficiency.
- Evaluate unit test coverage and quality across various projects, providing insights and recommendations for enhancement.
- Modify, run, and debug codebases locally to assess the performance of LLMs in bug-fixing and code understanding tasks.
- Collaborate with research teams to identify challenging repositories and issues that can help improve LLM performance and robustness.
- Lead or mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment and sharing expertise on best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of dataset quality, testing protocols, and automation tools.
