Pros: Working at Rector Engineering means pretty stable civil engineering projects. I learned a lot about the industry, especially on the client side. The team in the Houston office is solid, and work-life balance is decent for this field.
Cons: Career growth is definitely a challenge here for engineering roles. There aren't many clear promotion paths for a Civil Engineer after a few years. Professional development isn't prioritized, so it's tough to see how you'd move up.
