Pros: As a Software Engineer, I did appreciate the flexibility around working hours for the most part. The hybrid work model helped a lot with personal appointments, it's better than pure onsite for sure.
Cons: However, the startup environment often means tight deadlines, and there's pressure to put in extra hours. Sometimes it feels like you're always on call, especially closer to release dates.
Advice to Management: Try to manage project scope better to avoid constant crunch times, especially for the engineering teams. Respect the hybrid model more.
