Pros: The pay and benefit structure at Modinity for a Brand Marketing specialist is definitely a strong point. The base salary was competitive for the South Jakarta market, and the health benefits were comprehensive, which isn't always a given in the fashion industry. I also appreciated the access to employee discounts on their diverse range of e-commerce fashion brands, which was a nice perk. The team culture within the marketing department was collaborative, and there were ample opportunities to
Cons: While the compensation was good, sometimes the workload for the Brand Marketing team, especially during major campaign launches or peak retail seasons, could be quite intense, impacting work-life balance a bit. I felt that the approval processes for creative assets could sometimes be a little slow, which occasionally delayed project timelines. More structured and transparent career progression paths would also be beneficial for long-term employees looking to advance within this e-commerce
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing and streamlining the internal approval workflows for marketing creatives to improve efficiency. Also, investing in clearer pathways for career advancement within the Brand Marketing department would greatly benefit employee retention and motivation.

Pros: It's a good place if you're a junior software engineer looking to get your foot in the door in fashion e-commerce. You learn a ton from experienced engineers, especially working on a live e-commerce platform. The team in the Jakarta office is pretty supportive too.
Cons: The overall company culture can feel a bit scattered, not always cohesive across different teams. Sometimes, the pressure for the e-commerce platform releases means longer hours, impacting work-life balance for tech roles. It's not a 'chill' startup environment.
Advice to Management: Try to foster a more cohesive company culture across all departments. More focus on employee well-being, not just deadlines, especially for the tech teams.

Pros: The hybrid work setup here is pretty solid. As a Software Engineer, I could usually pick my in-office days, which was helpful. It's a nice change from being fully onsite like some other tech industry jobs.
Cons: But even with hybrid, you're expected in the Austin, TX office at least three days a week. There's not much room to adjust that for personal stuff. True remote options for Modinity aren't really a thing after onboarding.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more flexible hybrid schedules or truly remote opportunities for experienced Software Engineer roles. The current three-day office requirement can be a pain.
