Hybrid work at Kredivo is just okay
Pros: The hybrid work model is a plus for a Software Engineer like me. You get a couple of WFH days a week which is decent. It definitely helps avoid the crazy daily commute in Jakarta.
Cons: True work flexibility isn't always there; you're expected in the Jakarta office more often than not. For a company in the FinTech industry, I thought it'd be more progressive. Sometimes remote work isn't fully supported, making collaboration tough on WFH days.
Advice to Management: Consider increasing actual work flexibility for roles like Software Engineer. Trust your teams more with remote work options, especially for those in the FinTech industry.

Okay Flexibility for Software Engineering Roles
Pros: I've been a Junior Software Engineer here for a while. The work arrangement is mostly hybrid, so you're not always stuck in the Jakarta office. There's some decent flexibility with start times if you communicate with your team.
Cons: It's not truly remote, which can be tough. For a growing fintech startup, I wish there was more WFH opportunity. We still need to be in the office a few days a week, making it hard to plan personal things sometimes.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more remote days for specific engineering teams. This could really improve employee satisfaction and work-life balance for those in demanding fintech roles.

Tough to grow your career here.
Pros: You learn a lot about the fast-paced **fintech industry** working here. The team is generally pretty solid, and the **Jakarta office** has a good vibe. There are interesting projects for **junior roles** if you're proactive.
Cons: Career growth as a **Data Analyst** was really slow. There isn't a clear path for promotions or skill development. It felt like I was stuck doing the same tasks for too long without upward mobility.
Advice to Management: Create clearer promotion frameworks and invest more in development programs for employees, especially in technical roles like data analysis. It helps retention.

Okay Flexibility, But Still Needs Work
Pros: The hybrid model does offer a couple of work-from-home days a week, which is good for avoiding Jakarta traffic. It's a decent start for a growing fintech company trying to balance things. For junior product managers, it's manageable.
Cons: True work flexibility isn't really there. The hybrid model is quite rigid, so you can't just pick your days or change much. There's not much room to adjust your schedule beyond the set WFH days, which makes it tough for personal appointments.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously look into offering more flexible options beyond the fixed hybrid setup. Giving employees more control over their schedules would improve morale and retention, especially for demanding fintech and digital lending roles.

Solid Stability for Core Roles in Fintech
Pros: As a Software Engineer in the Jakarta office, my team felt quite stable. Kredivo Group is a growing fintech startup in the digital lending space, so there's always work to do. They don't have crazy layoffs often, which is a big plus.
Cons: Sometimes, new initiatives in digital credit solutions meant team reorgs. It can feel a bit uncertain when those changes happen. Job security might be less predictable for newer or less established roles.
Advice to Management: Keep improving communication about future plans and team structures. More transparency around potential changes would help ease employee worries about job security.

Hybrid model has its ups and downs
Pros: I gotta say, the hybrid model here is actually decent. For a growing fintech, getting two WFH days a week for tech roles is a solid perk. It really helps avoid that crazy Jakarta traffic.
Cons: But yeah, sometimes the in-office requirements feel a bit strict. There isn't much flexibility beyond the set hybrid schedule for Junior Software Engineers. It's tough if you have an unexpected personal appointment.
Advice to Management: Consider allowing more ad-hoc WFH requests for specific situations beyond the standard hybrid schedule. Trusting employees more with their schedules could really boost morale for roles like Junior Software Engineers.

Solid Starter for Fintech, But Growth is Slow
Pros: I got a lot of exposure to different payment processing systems as a Junior Software Engineer. The fast-paced environment in the Jakarta office really pushes you to learn quickly.
Cons: Career growth here is definitely a big challenge. There aren't many clear paths to move up from an entry-level position, making it tough for long-term advancement.
Advice to Management: Management should really focus on defining clearer career progression paths for individual contributors. It'd help a lot for people to see how they can grow beyond their initial roles.

Okay for FinTech, but balance can be tough
Pros: The hybrid model is a lifesaver; it's nice to have some flexibility, especially in the Jakarta office. My team often wraps up around standard hours, which is good for a FinTech company.
Cons: Work-life balance can really swing, especially for Software Engineer roles during crunch times. There's pressure to deliver quickly in digital lending, which means longer days sometimes. Weekends are usually fine, but weekdays can be unpredictable.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scopes and timelines. It would help prevent burnout for engineering teams.

Hybrid Model Has Room for Improvement
Pros: It's cool to be part of the booming fintech industry here. As a Software Engineer, I did get a couple of WFH days each week, which was a decent perk. The team is collaborative, and you learn a lot about digital lending.
Cons: The 'hybrid' model still feels pretty onsite-heavy for those in the Jakarta office. True work flexibility isn't really there beyond the standard WFH days. It's tough if you need more adaptable hours or a fully remote option for certain tech roles.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously look at offering more genuine flexibility options, especially for experienced tech roles. Rethink the strict onsite requirements for the hybrid model.

Okay Pay, Benefits Could Be Better for a FinTech
Pros: I've gotta say, the health insurance Kredivo Group offers is pretty decent for us. For a FinTech company, they do provide some small stock options, which is a nice perk. The base salary for a Software Engineer in the Jakarta office is generally okay.
Cons: But honestly, the compensation isn't as competitive as I'd expect for a growing digital lending startup. Bonuses aren't very transparent and sometimes feel arbitrary. It's tough to get significant salary increases without switching roles.
Advice to Management: Review market rates for engineers, especially for a growing FinTech startup. Improve bonus transparency and create clear paths for salary progression.
