Pros: The pay is actually pretty solid for a Field Service Technician, especially with the overtime. You get to work with some really impressive heavy machinery on mine sites. The benefits package is decent too.
Cons: Leadership here is often disconnected from the daily realities on site. Decisions come from way up, without understanding our onsite field work challenges. There's not much support for career growth or skill development in this big corporate structure.
Advice to Management: Get more leaders out to the mine sites. Talk to the actual field service technicians and understand the real challenges. Invest in frontline management training to build better teams and improve career paths.
