Pros: The team I was on in the Hong Kong office was actually pretty solid. We had good camaraderie and people helped each other out. There's a decent sense of stability working for a large corporate bank like this.
Cons: The overall company culture can feel a bit old-school and hierarchical. Innovation sometimes gets stifled, especially for junior investment banking roles. Work-life balance isn't always great, leading to long hours onsite.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more open communication and really listen to feedback from junior staff. Modernizing some processes would help with employee engagement in this competitive financial services market.
