ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a leading provider of enterprise solutions for the insurance and financial services industry, is seeking a Database Developer. The role involves working on business-critical applications related to financial systems, pension administration, reporting, and operational platforms.

• Location: Athens City Center, easily accessible by metro.
• Working Model: On-Site/Hybrid model.
• Report to: Line Manager
• Level: Mid-level.

The role requires full onsite presence during the onboarding phase to provide complete support and training. Upon completion of the onboarding period, employees will transition to a hybrid working model.

What will you do:

As a Database Developer, your primary focus will be the design, development, and maintenance of reliable database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL. You will be responsible for creating and optimizing stored procedures, functions, views, and queries, ensuring system integrity, performance, and scalability. You will work on business-critical systems within the insurance and financial services sector, supporting applications, reporting, and data management processes. In collaboration with technical and business teams, you will contribute to the development of reliable and efficient solutions that support the organization’s core operations.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Designing, optimizing, and managing databases in Microsoft SQL Server
• Creating stored procedures, views, and queries
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Collaborating with the IT team to implement new features

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another relevant field
• 3 years of professional experience in software development
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases
• Experience in developing desktop or business applications
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Team spirit and good communication skills
• Good command of the English language
