Pros: They're pretty chill about scheduling if you communicate upfront. As an Event Operations Coordinator, I could usually WFH a couple days a week when not onsite for an event. It's nice not being totally tied to the Austin, TX office.
Cons: But when it's event season, forget it. You're onsite for long hours, and remote work isn't an option then. There's less work flexibility during crunch times, which happens often in this event tech industry.
Advice to Management: Try to find ways to offer more flexibility during busy event seasons, even if it's just staggered start times or mandatory comp time. It would really help with burnout for the event operations team.
