Project Program Manager

About the role

This is a Senior role designed to provide project and program leadership to deliver strategic technical solutions that address complex client issues in the Life Sciences industry. You will be handling implementation projects and programs to achieve desired outcomes and ensure successful business growth. You will also seek new business opportunities to help BASE life science grow its presence within existing and new customers.

Additionally, you will contribute to internal initiatives and training to further strengthen BASE life science’s project and program management methodologies, approach, and tools.

You will lead teams consisting of multiple workstreams, which could include BASE/Infosys, external third party, or client stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in, project/program management, proven experience in people management and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Life science industry knowledge is a plus.

As an Associate Manager your responsibilities will include:

• Developing responses to Requests for Proposals (RfPs), ensuring adequate analytics solution, project planning for scope, timelines and budget
• Monitoring project/program status and delivery including milestones, risks, challenges, budgets, etc.
• Serving as the primary escalation contact for delivery issues and proactively ensuring timely resolution with a well-defined action and communication plan.
• Creating and delivering audience-tailored communication, such as executive summaries for clients, senior updates, and project status reports.
• Intervening, when necessary, to ensure costs, timelines and quality are on track
• Leading and supporting a team of Data Architects, Data Engineers and Business Analysts by providing mentorship, career development, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.

Delivering Projects/Programs:

• Lead a cross-functional team to deliver data & analytics projects/programs based on scope, within budget and on time, and to the satisfaction of our life science industry stakeholders
• Collaborate with business stakeholders in the life science industry to understand their needs and translating into executable plans for the project team
• Develop plans, timelines, and budgets for projects/programs for which you are responsible
• Track and report on project/program progress, identifying and mitigating risks as needed
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between the project team, life science industry stakeholders, and other teams within BASE life science
• Bridge requirements from business stakeholders towards technical solutioning and product output

The position is preferred to be placed in Spain or Denmark.

What makes you the ideal candidate for this job?

• 6+ years of experience as a technical project/program manager within the life science industry.

• Successful track record of managing technically complex Data analytics projects/programs

• Familiar with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense,…), data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks,…) and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP)

• Experience in leading technical teams and delivering data driven projects/programs.

• Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project etc.

• Experience with Agile project management methodologies such as SAFe

• Strong communication skills, both in writing, meetings and in presentations

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

On top of this, we expect you to you have the following skills/ certifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (nice to have)

• Experience in sales activities, including client engagement, RfP / RfI responses and pitching

• Familiarity with platforms such as Veeva Vault, Salesforce, or similar technologies
