Pros: I appreciate the job security and the overall positive company culture here. There's a good balance between tasks and personal time, allowing for a decent work-life balance. The leadership team is generally approachable, and I felt supported in my daily tasks and development. The focus on sustainability within Fiskars is also commendable.
Cons: While there are opportunities for growth, formal career progression paths could be clearer. Sometimes, communication regarding larger strategic changes can be slow to filter down to the shop floor. Improving this could help align everyone better.
Advice to Management: Continue fostering the supportive culture. Clearer communication about future strategies and development opportunities would be beneficial for all employees.

Pros: The best part about working at Fiskars Group in Barlaston has to be the people. I always found my colleagues to be supportive and good-humoured, making even tough shifts manageable. The job security is excellent, which is a big plus. We also had some pretty good company benefits, like a decent pension scheme and employee discounts on their fantastic products.
Cons: My main critique would be around communication from upper management. Sometimes, important updates or changes felt a bit last-minute, which made planning difficult. I also think there's potential for more efficient workflow, but getting buy-in for process improvements could be a slow journey. More transparency on company strategy would be welcomed.
Advice to Management: Continue fostering the strong team spirit and consider more proactive communication channels to keep everyone aligned and informed about operational changes and company direction.

Pros: The best part about working at Fiskars Group is the team I'm part of. We collaborate effectively, and there's a genuine sense of shared purpose, especially around their sustainability initiatives. The company's commitment to quality design is also a huge plus, making for interesting projects. The work flexibility is also a definite win, allowing for hybrid work arrangements that suit my needs as a product designer in the Norwegian market.
Cons: While the overall package is decent, the salary and benefits, particularly for specialized roles like mine, don't quite match some competitors in the Oslo tech and design scene. Sometimes, decision-making can feel a bit slow, which can impact project timelines. The company culture is generally positive, but there are occasional communication gaps between different departments, especially when coordinating across international teams.
Advice to Management: Consider benchmarking salaries and benefits more aggressively against industry standards in Oslo to attract and retain top talent, especially in creative and technical fields. Streamlining some cross-departmental communication processes could also improve efficiency.
