Vi er en styrelse med over 600 medarbejdere fordelt på 3 afdelinger med underliggende kontorer.
Vi har ansvar for en lang række myndighedsopgaver inden for områderne jernbane, luftfart, postområdet samt kollektiv trafik. Vi varetager også styrelsens opgaver inden for VVM-godkendelser for jernbane og havne, maritim sikring på havneområdet og har ansvaret for driften af Bornholms Lufthavn.
Under Trafikstyrelsen hører Taksationssekretariatet og Minksekretariatet, 1. instans og 2. instans også til.
