About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated (Senior) Softwareentwickler Applikationssoftware (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team in a full-time, permanent capacity, available immediately. This role offers the opportunity to work at our development sites in Erfurt, Mannheim, or Maribor, contributing to the conception, design, and implementation of web applications for managing measurement devices and IoT communication systems. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the architecture of our software solutions, collaborating across international teams, and advancing our innovative product offerings. You will be involved in every stage of the development process—from technical documentation and system architecture to testing and deployment—within a fast-paced, agile environment that encourages creativity and proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a relevant educational background, such as a university degree, vocational training, or extensive professional experience in computer science or software development. You should demonstrate solid expertise and several years of practical experience in software product development, with proficiency in programming languages such as C# and Java. A strong understanding of modern cloud architectures, containerization technologies, and experience with version control systems like GIT or SVN is essential. Familiarity with CI/CD tools, agile methodologies, and project management tools such as Jira will be advantageous. Additional experience in AI-driven programming, IoT solutions, and digital transformation initiatives will set you apart. Excellent communication skills in both German and English, along with a proactive, team-oriented mindset, are necessary to thrive in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design and conceptualize web applications tailored for desktop and mobile platforms to facilitate management of measurement devices and IoT communication networks.
- Create and modify technical documentation including specifications, realization concepts, detailed design documents, implementation guides, and developer tests.
- Develop comprehensive system architectures and business logic frameworks to ensure scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Conduct independent developer testing to validate functionality and performance of developed applications.
- Participate in international, cross-site research and development projects, collaborating closely with hardware engineers, product managers, system architects, quality assurance teams, and external developers.
- Operate within an agile, dynamic environment, actively contributing ideas, managing interfaces, and ensuring seamless integration across teams and functions.
