About The Role

At N26, security forms the cornerstone of our operations and customer trust. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-stack Engineer to join our Security Engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge security solutions that safeguard our platform and customer data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, design security protocols, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end development, with a strong focus on security best practices. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in full-stack development, with a focus on secure coding practices.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Angular.
• Strong expertise in back-end development using languages like Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Deep understanding of security protocols, encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated security testing tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to security challenges.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and efficient full-stack applications to enhance the security infrastructure of N26.
• Implement security best practices across all development phases, including code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate security features into new and existing products.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures.
• Stay updated with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, and proactively recommend improvements.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to security protocols, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in security audits and ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as GDPR, PSD2, and others relevant to digital banking.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.
