About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated ERP Application Consultant / Junior Developer with expertise in MS Dynamics NAV to join our team in Henstedt-Ulzburg. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work within the process industry, particularly focusing on sectors such as food and chemicals. In this role, you will provide internal support to end-users, ensuring smooth operation and continuous improvement of our ERP systems. Your technical skills will be essential in customizing and maintaining our NAV environment, investigating process disruptions, and ensuring data integrity across critical business processes. You will work closely with various departments to tailor solutions that meet their operational needs, contributing directly to the efficiency and compliance of our production workflows.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant educational background, such as a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or hold a comparable qualification like a vocational training as an IT specialist with a strong focus on software development. You should have at least 2-3 years of practical experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, particularly with C/SIDE and C/AL programming languages. A solid understanding of process industry workflows, especially in sectors like food or chemicals, is essential, including familiarity with batch management and traceability systems. Proficiency in using the NAV debugger for troubleshooting and logical error analysis is required. Additionally, experience with SQL Server for data querying and analysis will be advantageous. Your problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide qualified internal support to end-users, assisting with operational issues and preparing complex requirements for the 2nd-level support team.
• Independently perform minor program modifications, bug fixes, and develop or update reports and pages within MS Dynamics NAV.
• Investigate process disruptions, such as issues within batch logic or production workflows, directly on the code level (C/AL) to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation and user manuals for customized NAV adaptations to ensure clarity and ease of use.
• Maintain data integrity during critical processes, including recipe management and inventory control, to ensure compliance and operational accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize ERP functionalities aligned with business needs and industry standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and user experience.
