About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer / IT-Berater (m/w/d) to join our dynamic Delivery department. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining complex backend systems that deliver real value to our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, product owners, and other developers, to create scalable, robust, and efficient microservices and software architectures. Your expertise will help shape our technological landscape, ensuring high standards of code quality, performance, and security. This position offers the opportunity to lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and contribute to strategic architectural decisions, all within an agile environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a background in computer science or a comparable qualification, with several years of professional experience as a Backend Developer. Proficiency in Java and Kotlin is essential, along with hands-on experience with Spring Boot for building complex backend services. Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or React, and experience with Apache Kafka, are considered advantageous. Strong knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is required, including data modeling skills. You should possess excellent communication skills in both German (fluent) and English (good), with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working within agile teams, using tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence, is also expected.

• Develop end-to-end solutions that provide tangible benefits to clients, actively contributing to the design and implementation of microservices and modern software architectures.
• Create and operate high-performance backend services using Java or Kotlin, utilizing Spring Boot for complex software development, and ensuring reliable integration with databases and external interfaces.
• Maintain high standards of software quality through automated testing, code reviews, and adherence to Clean Code principles.
• Provide expert advice to clients on architecture, technology choices, and implementation strategies, translating complex technical details into understandable language.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product owners, and interdisciplinary development teams to ensure seamless project execution within agile workflows.
• Conduct code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and uphold best practices, architectural guidelines, and high code quality across projects.
