About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated SAP Application Developer specializing in Human Capital Management (HCM) to join our internal IT service team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical SAP HCM modules, supporting and enhancing our HR-related systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP HCM applications across various functions such as payroll, time management, and personnel administration. You will collaborate closely with business departments to translate their requirements into effective technical solutions, contributing significantly to our ongoing digital transformation initiatives, including the transition to SAP H4S4. The role is flexible regarding location, with Cologne being the preferred base, but Leipzig, Potsdam, Hamburg, or remote work arrangements are also available, providing a balanced work environment tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable IT qualification, complemented by extensive professional experience. Key qualifications include:
- In-depth knowledge of SAP development, including ABAP/4 and ABAP OO programming languages.
- Proficiency in customizing and developing SAP HCM modules, especially Personnel Administration (PA), Time Management (PT), Organizational Management (OM), and Payroll (PY).
- Experience with SAP HCM on S/4HANA or H4S4 platforms, including migration projects.
- Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions and ensure their proper implementation.
- Excellent communication skills in German, with a minimum proficiency level of C1.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing, designing, implementing, and providing ongoing support for SAP HCM applications, ensuring optimal functionality across payroll, time management, and personnel administration modules.
- Performing independent customization of SAP HCM modules and developing ABAP programs, reports, and interfaces to meet organizational needs.
- Engaging in solution-oriented consulting by actively communicating with business units, analyzing their requirements, and proposing practical, sustainable technical solutions.
- Contributing your expertise to IVZ projects, particularly in the context of the ongoing transition to SAP H4S4, supporting system upgrades and migration efforts.
