About The Role
We are seeking an experienced AI-Native Developer to join our innovative team at trbo GmbH. In this role, you will be instrumental in the holistic development and evolution of our SaaS application, which is utilized by hundreds of eCommerce clients worldwide. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively incorporate AI and ML tools into our development processes to enhance efficiency, code quality, and functionality. You will evaluate and integrate new generative AI/ML services and APIs, ensuring our platform remains at the forefront of technological innovation. Collaborating closely with our product team, you will help prototype and bring new features to market, contributing significantly to the architectural redesign of our platform. Your expertise will also support the promotion of best practices within the development team, including code reviews, testing, and documentation. Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should be a convinced AI-Native Developer with a strong proficiency in utilizing generative AI and ML tools critically and efficiently for daily tasks such as code analysis, documentation, and data processing. You should have at least 7 years of professional experience in web development, preferably with expertise in Node.js (Typescript) and React. Experience with distributed applications, microservices, and HTTP protocols is essential. A solid understanding of secure programming practices, software architecture patterns, and containerization is required. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, large language models (LLMs), and their APIs is also important. Additionally, experience working with cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and designing, maintaining, and optimizing database systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in both German and English are necessary to thrive in our international environment.
Responsibilities
- Holistic development and continuous improvement of our SaaS application used by hundreds of eCommerce clients.
- Proactively apply AI tools such as code generation, refactoring, debugging, and test automation to accelerate development and enhance code quality.
- Evaluate and integrate new generative AI/ML services and APIs to expand our platform’s core functionalities.
- Take responsibility for defining and developing new components and features within our application ecosystem.
- Collaborate directly with the product team during the prototyping phase and oversee the transition of features from concept to market-ready solutions.
- Lead efforts in architectural redesigns, evaluating and implementing new software architecture approaches.
- Promote knowledge sharing through internal training sessions and workshops to enhance team capabilities.
- Analyze, optimize, and challenge existing processes, tools, and structures, especially through AI/ML integration, to improve efficiency, quality, and competitiveness.
- Conduct code reviews, ensure comprehensive test coverage, implement best practices, and evaluate modern technologies for adoption.
