About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer Cloud Applications and Frontend (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing our neonpulse platform, which forms the technological backbone for secure, high-performance data integration from meters and sensors into various target systems. Your responsibilities will include developing scalable cloud services, middleware solutions, and user interfaces that support configuration, monitoring, and operational workflows. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the continuous evolution of our platform, ensuring stability, performance, and the integration of new technologies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the digital transformation of the energy sector and contribute to the acceleration of the energy transition.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field, complemented by extensive professional experience. A minimum of five years in cloud and backend development is essential, preferably within IoT or platform environments. Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL is required. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform is highly desirable. Candidates should also have practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab CI, and foundational skills in web development with JavaScript and React. Excellent communication skills in German (C1 level) and English (B2 level), along with a structured, solution-oriented working style and strong teamwork capabilities, are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate middleware services for the neonpulse platform, ensuring secure and efficient processing of telemetry data between IoT backends and third-party systems.
- Design and enhance cloud applications using Java and Spring Boot, continuously improving existing services both functionally and technically.
- Optimize database connectivity and performance, implementing complex SQL queries and utilizing Hibernate and JPA for efficient data access.
- Manage deployment and operational activities within Microsoft Azure, leveraging Terraform for infrastructure automation and ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI to automate build, testing, and deployment processes, ensuring reliable releases.
- Implement REST APIs and gRPC/Protobuf interfaces to facilitate dependable service-to-service communication.
- Create internal tools and frontend components with JavaScript and React, including dashboards, configuration interfaces, and monitoring dashboards.
- Collaborate closely with cloud, backend, frontend, and operations teams to support platform development and integration efforts.
- Participate in technical decision-making processes, contribute innovative ideas, and stay updated with emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
