About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our core team at Skalar. As an early member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling our flagship products from the ground up. This is a greenfield opportunity where nearly every aspect of the technology stack will be shaped by your expertise. You will work closely with the founders to develop major features, establish the core architecture, and drive the product forward with agility and innovation. Your contributions will directly influence the customer experience, which leverages cutting-edge AI to deliver radical simplicity in financial management. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have over five years of professional experience in building web applications utilizing modern frameworks such as Next.js, React, Vue, Node.js, FastAPI, or Tailwind CSS. A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field is required. You should have experience working within cross-functional teams, demonstrating a product-minded approach and comfort working in an agile startup environment. Strong attention to detail, especially on the frontend, combined with a curiosity about backend systems, is essential. Additionally, experience in deploying applications using containerization and orchestration tools like Docker is highly valued. Candidates should have integrated AI deeply into their daily development routines, not just for autocompletion but as a core part of their workflow. Fluency in English and German (minimum C1 level) is required, along with valid work authorization for Germany.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the founding team to ship major features and product lines from inception to deployment, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Implement and maintain core APIs, data models, and user interfaces, making pragmatic architecture choices with a high degree of autonomy.
• Rapidly iterate on features and products, releasing v1 quickly and refining weekly based on real user feedback.
• Contribute to the development of the core architecture, ensuring robustness, scalability, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior engineers and potentially lead hiring efforts as the team grows, gaining valuable leadership experience.
• Influence technology and product decisions, advocating for best practices and innovative solutions.
• Work within a tech stack that emphasizes stability where it matters, while innovating in areas that provide differentiation for the company.
