About The Role
As a Senior Java Developer within our dynamic IT team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern, business-critical applications. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, domain experts, and architects, you will contribute to the continuous enhancement of our IT landscape. Your expertise will help shape the future of our retail technology infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and high-quality standards. Qualifications
- Completed university degree in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java (SE/EE) and practical experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with modern development tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and AI coding agents.
- Genuine enthusiasm for software development, clean code principles, and maintaining high technical quality.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, along with a product-oriented mindset.
Nice To Have
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, or cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of modern frontend technologies including Angular and TypeScript.
- Understanding of integration technologies like REST, GraphQL, messaging systems, and event streams.
- Initial exposure to architectural patterns such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Hexagonal Architecture, or Event-Driven Design.
Responsibilities
- Develop new applications and modernize existing solutions across all layers (full-stack development).
- Collaborate with business units to analyze, plan, and model requirements using domain-driven design (DDD), supporting their implementation through to deployment and operation.
- Represent the technical perspective in projects and contribute to the optimization of business processes.
- Design and shape our modern software and system architecture, ensuring alignment with best practices and scalability needs.
- Support team members by sharing knowledge, conducting code reviews, and mentoring less experienced colleagues through pair programming and other collaborative practices.
