About The Role
We are seeking a talented Software Developer specializing in UI development with expertise in Java and frontend technologies to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and enhancing the user interface of our Leitstellen-Software, which is crucial for the optimal operation of public transportation management systems. Your contributions will directly impact the usability and functionality of our applications, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of transportation providers and end-users. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions within an agile environment, primarily utilizing JavaFX, Eclipse 4 RCP, and EMF technologies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a completed technical degree in IT or a comparable qualification. You should possess solid experience in Java programming, particularly with Eclipse RCP or JavaFX frameworks. A keen interest in software architecture and the ability to contribute to the design of scalable and maintainable systems is highly desirable. Experience with cloud-based implementations is a plus, enabling you to develop solutions that are flexible and future-proof. Strong communication skills in both German and English are essential for effective collaboration within our international team. Additionally, you should be passionate about solving complex problems, generating innovative ideas, and thinking creatively beyond conventional approaches.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with your team to develop intuitive and user-friendly graphical user interfaces for our applications, focusing on enhancing user experience.
- Design and implement use cases independently, translating requirements into functional features.
- Develop JavaFX components integrated into our Rich Client Platform (RCP) applications to improve system interactivity and performance.
- Contribute actively to agile development processes, including Scrum methodologies, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptability.
- Engage in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high standards of software quality and maintainability.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate best practices into your development work.
