About The Role
We are seeking a Fullstack Softwareentwickler (m/w/d) Java / React for our KFZ-Versicherung team at CHECK24. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our insurance comparison platform, ensuring it remains user-friendly, reliable, and scalable. Your responsibilities will span from designing new features to optimizing existing systems, integrating artificial intelligence functionalities, and maintaining high-quality code standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within a fast-paced environment, leveraging modern frameworks and technologies to create impactful solutions. Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should have a successfully completed university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field, or an equivalent vocational training as a Fachinformatiker (m/w/d). Ideally, applicants possess 1-2 years of professional experience in software development, supplemented by internships or student jobs. Proficiency in Java and TypeScript/JavaScript is essential, along with experience working with relational databases such as MySQL. Practical knowledge of Spring Boot and React frameworks is required, complemented by a solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), software design principles, and architecture concepts like layered or hexagonal architecture. Strong analytical thinking, motivation to learn new technologies, responsibility, excellent communication skills, and fluency in German (C1 level) are also important for this role.
Responsibilities
In this position, your core responsibilities will include developing new features for our insurance products using Java with Spring Boot and React/TypeScript. You will work across the entire technology stack, from frontend interfaces to backend services, REST APIs, and database components, including platform-specific elements like MCP-Server. You will be tasked with integrating artificial intelligence functionalities, such as large language models (LLMs), into existing and new components to enhance user experience and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will optimize system performance, scalability, and stability, ensuring high availability. Maintaining code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is essential. You will also be encouraged to contribute your own ideas, take ownership of features or components, and collaborate closely with team members to deliver innovative solutions that add value to our platform.
