About The Role
We are seeking an engaged and highly skilled Senior Fullstack Java Developer (m/w/d) with a focus on Java EE to join our Application Development department. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex applications within an agile environment, primarily focusing on the composite insurance domain. You will work closely with product owners and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Your expertise will help optimize our processes and improve the functionality of our applications, contributing directly to the digital evolution of our services. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, complemented by extensive professional experience in Java development. Deep knowledge of Java and Jakarta EE is essential, along with familiarity with contemporary tools such as Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and Selenium. Practical experience with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, including hybrid approaches, is required. Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for daily project management and documentation is also necessary. While experience with Cobol, SQL, or mainframe technologies is advantageous, it is not mandatory. The candidate should demonstrate high reliability, excellent communication skills, and a strong team-oriented mindset. Fluency in German at least at C1 level is essential for effective collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Independently develop and maintain applications within an agile framework, with a focus on the composite insurance domain.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners to understand business requirements and translate them into clear and actionable user stories.
- Coordinate with various Fachbereiche (specialist departments) to ensure optimal implementation of requirements and functionalities.
- Continuously improve agile processes and methodologies within the team and projects to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold high standards of software quality.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly to ensure smooth application operations.
