About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer specializing in C#.NET to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting our clients within the leisure industry by developing, maintaining, and modernizing complex software systems. Your expertise will enable the seamless integration of new features, enhancement of existing functionalities, and modernization of legacy systems. You will work closely with key client groups, translating their requirements into robust technical solutions, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our web portal and microservices architecture. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification. You should possess at least five years of practical experience in backend development with C#, ASP.NET, and T-SQL, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code, as well as experience with Azure DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines, is essential. Candidates must have excellent communication skills in both German and English (minimum C1 level) and be capable of working independently with a structured approach. Knowledge of working with legacy systems, especially those based on .NET 4.8 and WebForms, and their modernization, is highly desirable. Additional skills in MSSQL database administration, Python, SciKit, n8n, hosting local large language models, and mobile application development will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with key clients to understand their technical requirements and provide expert advice.
• Analyze customer needs and translate them into effective software solutions.
• Maintain, refactor, and enhance existing software applications to improve performance and scalability.
• Develop and implement modules for our web portal based on customer specifications.
• Design, build, and operate microservices utilizing C#, ASP.NET, and RESTful APIs.
• Engage in backend and database development, ensuring data integrity and security with T-SQL.
• Create and maintain interfaces between our systems and client systems, ensuring seamless integration.
• Analyze legacy code, particularly in .NET 4.8 and WebForms, and execute stepwise modernization efforts.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold high quality standards.
