We are working with a leading European group specialising in business software solutions and digital services, who are building an innovative banking platform seamlessly integrated with their existing products. This platform aims to go beyond traditional online banking, offering features like smart split for sub-accounts, lending, automated payment reconciliation, and intelligent financial analysis, forming a complete ecosystem designed to be a proactive tool for financial management.
The team faces the challenge of scaling services to handle growing financial data volumes while maintaining the reliability expected from a banking platform. They operate in a build-and-learn mode, iterating quickly, making architectural decisions collaboratively, and prioritising experiments over assumptions.
The Role
- Drive the development of the business account within a cloud-based web application in an interdisciplinary team, focusing on customer benefit through iterative steps
- Work within a modern microservice architecture, ensuring smooth communication between services and contributing to decisions on new tools and approaches
- Actively shape the integration of AI agents and automated workflows into work processes and product structures, leveraging Agentic AI for organisational transformation
- Take end-to-end responsibility for features from initial idea to productive operation in the cloud, maintaining focus on scalability and stability of the banking platform
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, experimenting with new forms of collaboration and developing working methods through "Inspect & Adapt"
What You'll Need
- Several years of experience in building modern web applications, with strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and Material UI on the frontend, and Spring Boot on the backend
- Proficient knowledge of relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and experience working within the AWS ecosystem (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
- Commitment to software engineering excellence, applying Clean Code principles, Test Driven Development (TDD), and agile methodologies as standard for high-quality software
- Experience with microservices architecture and the associated technical challenges
- Excellent German language skills (at least C2 level) as it is the team's working language
