About The Role
We are seeking an engaged and skilled Senior Fullstack Java Developer (m/w/d) with a focus on Java EE to join our Application Development Composit team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications within an agile environment, primarily focusing on the insurance sector's composite modules. Your expertise will be vital in translating business requirements into functional and scalable software solutions. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of features and improvements. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative projects using modern technologies, contributing to the digital evolution of our services while enhancing your technical and professional skills.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, complemented by relevant professional experience. You should possess deep expertise in Java development, especially with Java and Jakarta EE frameworks. Familiarity with modern development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and Selenium is essential. Practical experience working with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, including hybrid approaches, is required. Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for daily project management is expected. Knowledge of Cobol, SQL, or Mainframe technologies is advantageous but not mandatory. The candidate must demonstrate high reliability, excellent communication skills, and a strong team-oriented mindset. Fluency in German at least at C1 level is necessary to ensure effective collaboration within our teams.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the development and maintenance of applications within an agile framework, with a primary focus on the insurance sector's composite modules.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners to understand business needs and translate them into detailed user stories and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure optimal implementation of requirements and adherence to quality standards.
- Continuously improve agile processes and development methodologies within the team and across projects to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
