About The Role
We are seeking an engaged and highly qualified Senior Fullstack Java Developer (m/w/d) with a focus on Java EE to join our Application Development Composit team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and maintenance of applications within an agile environment, primarily centered around the insurance domain. Your expertise will contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our digital solutions, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our clients and adhere to high standards of quality and security. You will work closely with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, complemented by substantial professional experience. Deep expertise in Java development, especially with Java and Jakarta EE technologies, is essential. Familiarity with modern tools and frameworks such as Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and Selenium is required to ensure efficient development workflows. Practical experience with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, including hybrid approaches, is highly valued. Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for daily project management and documentation is necessary. Knowledge of Cobol, SQL, or mainframe technologies is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate high reliability, excellent communication skills, and a strong team-oriented mindset. Fluency in German at least at C1 level is mandatory to effectively collaborate within our team and with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of developing and maintaining applications within an agile framework, focusing on the insurance composite domain.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners to understand business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable user stories.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure the optimal implementation of technical solutions aligned with business needs.
- Continuously improve agile processes and methodologies within the team and across projects to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to uphold high standards of software quality.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into our development practices.
