About The Role

As a Fullstack Developer (m/w/d) Java/TypeScript at Signal Iduna Asset Management GmbH, you will be at the core of developing and maintaining our modern customer applications. You will work within a dedicated team responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment and ongoing operation. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and optimizing both frontend and backend components to deliver seamless, high-quality user experiences. You will be instrumental in building scalable and reliable systems, utilizing your expertise in Java and TypeScript, and collaborating closely with product owners, external partners, and other stakeholders. Your contributions will directly impact the technological advancement of our services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification such as an apprenticeship as a Fachinformatiker. You should have substantial professional experience in application development using Java and TypeScript, preferably within the financial services sector. Proficiency with modern technology stacks including Angular, Spring Boot, relational and NoSQL databases, and Apache Kafka is essential. Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Jira is required. You should adhere to principles of Clean Code, design patterns, and agile methodologies like Scrum. Strong communication skills in German and good command of English are necessary, along with a responsible and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop sophisticated applications using Java and TypeScript, focusing on frontend (Angular) and backend (Spring Boot) components.
• Create and implement REST APIs and event-driven services, primarily utilizing Apache Kafka.
• Take technical responsibility for the stable operation and continuous enhancement of your applications, embracing DevOps practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and external partners in an agile Scrum environment, actively contributing ideas and solutions.
• Participate in architectural decision-making processes and help improve quality standards through rigorous testing and code reviews.
