keleya is an innovative app-based solution dedicated to empowering expectant and new mothers with the support and resources they need to have a healthy and happy journey into motherhood. Our Apple-featured app is one-of-a-kind. No other app offers our combination of a personalized pregnancy calendar, health tracker, and the largest selection of workouts, recipes and verified expert knowledge, much of which is available at no-cost to end users through our contracts with 80+ health insurers.
Next to our app, we are proud to run the largest midwife platform in Germany, ammely.de, which allows women to find a local midwife at short notice. Since our founding in summer 2017, we have been working with passion, agility, and team spirit to help over 1M women and provide access to more than 9,500 midwives.
Pros: The mission to improve reproductive health through technology is highly motivating. I've had opportunities to work on interesting projects and develop new skills within the digital health sector. The team is generally collaborative and supportive, and there's a good degree of autonomy in my day-to-day work. The remote-first approach offers great flexibility.
Cons: As a growing startup, organizational changes can sometimes feel a bit sudden. Leadership is working on this, but there are moments where clearer communication about strategic shifts would be beneficial. Sometimes, project prioritization can be challenging, leading to occasional periods of increased workload. Ensuring consistent career pathing for all roles is also an ongoing focus.
Advice to Management: Continue to focus on transparent communication, especially during periods of growth or strategic pivots. Establishing clearer career progression frameworks for all departments would be highly valued by employees looking to grow long-term within keleya.
