Pros: The best part about working at Layk has to be the genuine commitment to work-life balance and flexibility. As a remote software engineer, I've found that they trust us to manage our time effectively. There's a strong sense of team collaboration, and people are always willing to help out, which fosters a really positive learning environment. The projects are interesting and offer opportunities to learn new technologies in the tech industry.
Cons: While overall positive, there are areas for improvement. Sometimes, communication between departments can be a bit slow, which can lead to minor delays on certain cross-functional tasks. Also, during crunch periods for product launches, the workload can become quite heavy, impacting the usual excellent work-life balance. Streamlining approval processes for certain technical decisions could also speed things up.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing more structured cross-departmental sync meetings and exploring ways to further optimize internal approval workflows to mitigate delays during peak periods. Continue fostering the trust in remote flexibility.
