Great Place for Food Service Pros in NYC
Pros: I really appreciate the positive company culture at DIG. Everyone, from the kitchen staff to management, is genuinely committed to fresh, seasonal food. There's good teamwork among the line cooks and dishwashers, making busy shifts manageable. Training for new recipes is thorough, which helps career growth in the culinary field, and the work environment is generally positive.
Cons: Sometimes the work-life balance can be a bit tricky, especially during peak hours or holidays in the restaurant industry, leading to longer shifts. While communication is decent, sometimes scheduling changes could be communicated a little further in advance to help plan personal life better.
Advice to Management: Continue to foster the strong team culture and perhaps explore ways to offer more predictable scheduling or small perks to help manage work-life demands during busy restaurant periods.
