Founded in 2014, EERS Global invents, designs and tests in-ear advanced technologies to accelerate the go-to-market phase of game-changing products. Our cutting-edge technology augments the human experience in communication in challenging situations, hearing protection, biometric and wellness monitoring, brain computer interfacing, and is repeatedly validated in the field and some have become an ANSI Standard.
Through co-development partnerships, we bring a stream of new products to market. Beyond prototyping, we produce scalable, easily transferable, manufacturable product taking the development execution risk out of the equation.
Our team designs products that apply novel proprietary algorithms developed in partnership with our industrial research Chair in in-ear technologies at ÉTS University, Canada’s 2nd largest engineering school.
Since ears are unique to everyone, it is a challenge to produce earpieces that are functional as well as comfortable. Not tethered to software and proprietary algorithms, we excel in hardware and earpiece design. Our multi-disciplined integrations includes expansion earpiece design, industrial design, ear geometrics, sensitivity mapping, and manufacturing processes for improved earpiece comfort and universal design.

Pros: I really appreciated the focus on work-life balance at EERS. They genuinely seem to care about employees not burning out, which is rare. Flexible hours and the ability to work remotely made managing personal life much easier. The team I worked with was also fantastic, very collaborative and supportive.
Cons: My main criticism is around career growth opportunities. While you can learn a lot, clear paths for advancement or specialized training programs seemed limited. Sometimes projects felt a bit repetitive, and it was hard to get visibility for taking on more challenging or innovative work.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing more structured career development plans and opportunities for employees to take on diverse and challenging projects to foster growth.

Pros: The hybrid model is actually pretty solid. We get to work from home a couple of days a week, which helps. It's a step up from being fully onsite for software development roles. The setup works fine if you like a routine.
Cons: True work-flexibility isn't really here beyond the fixed hybrid schedule. You can't just adjust your hours easily. Sometimes, last-minute meetings mess up WFH days, and that's frustrating. It's tough to manage personal appointments during the week.
Advice to Management: Give teams more control over their schedules. Trust your employees to get the work done, even if they're not in the Austin, TX office exactly 3 days a week. True flexibility would boost morale a lot.
