Pros: As a Technical Consultant, I appreciate the flexibility for remote work. Being able to set my own schedule for some tasks is a huge plus, especially for us living outside major tech hubs. It's not a strict 9-5 which is common for smaller software companies.
Cons: Sometimes the flexibility feels like it just means longer hours. Client deadlines for project management software integrations can be pretty demanding. There's an expectation to be available outside standard business hours, which hurts work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer boundaries for client expectations. More support for Technical Consultants during high-demand periods would really help with burnout.
