Pros: The best part is definitely the mission and the products. Being part of a co-op that genuinely cares about sustainability and getting people outside is motivating. Colleagues were always great, and the staff discount on high-quality outdoor equipment made this a dream retail job for an adventurer.
Cons: While the base pay wasn't the highest in retail, the overall compensation package with discounts and benefits made up for it. Sometimes shifts could be a bit unpredictable due to seasonal demand, affecting work-life balance slightly during peak times. More consistent scheduling would be beneficial.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing more structured training for career progression opportunities. Enhancing cross-departmental knowledge sharing could also benefit staff and members.
