Pros: The team environment is really collaborative, and I've learned a lot about global insurance operations. The hybrid work model is a big plus, offering genuine flexibility for us in Cebu. They also provide good training programs, which has helped my career growth, and job security feels quite stable in this shared services setup.
Cons: Sometimes, communication between departments can be a bit slow, leading to minor delays in processing complex cases. While pay is competitive for the local market, it could be slightly better aligned with the increasing cost of living. The pace can be demanding during peak periods.
Advice to Management: Continue fostering the hybrid work model and investing in cross-departmental training. Enhancing communication channels would further streamline operations and boost efficiency for everyone.

Pros: The best part is the stability and the supportive colleagues I've worked with. QBE provides a consistent workflow in the insurance sector, which means job security is pretty good. I also appreciate the opportunities to learn and grow within the shared services model, and the hybrid work arrangement offers decent flexibility.
Cons: While not terrible, the pay and benefits could be more competitive, especially considering the cost of living. Sometimes, communication from senior leadership can feel a bit distant, and project timelines can feel rushed, impacting overall work-life balance during peak periods.
Advice to Management: Consider enhancing benefits packages to align with market rates. Improving communication transparency from leadership would also be highly beneficial for employee engagement.

There's a genuine effort to support employee development, and I've seen opportunities for internal promotion for those who show dedication. The hybrid work model in Cebu really helps balance personal commitments.
Cons: While growth is possible, sometimes it feels like there are bottlenecks in the process for advancement, requiring significant patience. Benefits are decent but could be more competitive compared to other global SSCs in the region. Some departmental processes could be streamlined for better efficiency.
