Pros: The hybrid model is a huge plus for RF Engineering roles. I can often work from home a few days a week, which saves a lot of commute time in San Jose, CA traffic. It helps a lot with personal appointments and errands.
Cons: There are definitely crunch times, especially when big projects involving network infrastructure are due. Sometimes you just have to be onsite for testing, which makes consistent WFH tough. It can be hard to disconnect when deadlines are looming in the telecom industry.
Advice to Management: Try to even out the workload spikes more consistently. Also, be clearer about when onsite work is absolutely required for RF Engineers versus when WFH is truly okay.
